This large handwoven wall hanging is inspired by the raw beauty of canyon landscapes — layered rock formations, shifting shadows, and the quiet movement of water flowing through stone.
I created this piece using natural cotton and soft wool, carefully blending earthy terracotta tones, deep ocean blues, muted greys, and creamy neutrals. The layered textures and sculptural weaving techniques give the artwork depth and movement, echoing the organic lines of canyon walls shaped by time.
The open spaces within the composition add lightness and dimension, while the flowing fringe enhances the feeling of water cascading below the rocky forms.
